ENDURANCE SPACE PORT
THE MISSION
As for its name, Endurance is being designed to support and revitalize the crew member once they arrived near Mars. Once orbiting around the red planet, the spaceport might have the possibility to accommodate the astronauts for at least 100 days. It will also include laboratory, life, and docking capabilities, allowing it to be completely autonomous in lower orbit.
ENDURANCE'S CARACTERISTICS
Endurance is a space module conceived as a unit having a high storage volume for both vital goods (food, water and oxygene) and mechanically strategic items (tools, replacement parts,...). Endurance is the mission's key element that ensures supplying the space habitat after its long travel from Earth to Mars. Its main structure has been designed to optimize the room providing a [V] cubic meters inner volume. The space module has two main rooms linked by a corridor. Aiming to build a highly resistant structure, Stamina Corporation chose titanium as the space module material. The high structural resistance standards compulsory for the structure have been combined with design enabling the module to have a relatively low weight (3.468 tons).
